Ambassador Lee Tae-sik of the Republic of Korea and Ambassador Alexander Vershbow of the United States will discuss Korean-American trade, security on the Korean peninsula, and other issues important to Korean-American relations in a public dialogue at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda at 1 p.m. on January 25.
The program at the Nixon Library, sponsored by the independent Washington-based Korea Economic Institute, is part of a multi-city tour and is in its seventeenth year. The event will be co-sponsored by the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum and by the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace Foundation.

“We’re excited to host this event,” Nixon Library Director Tim Naftali said. “The Library has an ongoing mission to foster informed public discussion about current events, and Ambassadors Lee and Vershbow will explain Washington and Seoul’s views about one of the world’s most important regions.”

“The Nixon Foundation is glad to be a sponsor of the ambassadors’ visit,” Nixon Foundation Executive Director John H. Taylor said. “Constructive dialogue was a hallmark of President Nixon’s approach to international relations, and he made it clear that he wanted his Library to be a focal point of conversations such as this one.”

Admission to the event is free. The Library requests that those planning to attend call to reserve seats at 714/ 983-9120 or email [email protected].
