SUMMARY:Meet Will Chesney\, former Navy SEAL\, Purple Heart & Silver Star recipient
DESCRIPTION:SEAL Team 6 member on the 2011 Osama bin Laden raid \n11:00 AM – Service and Sacrifice keynote commemorating September 11\, 2001 \n   NOON – Tours of the America 250: A More Perfect Union special exhibit  \nJoin us on Labor Day to hear from Will Chesney as he discusses his time as a U.S. Navy SEAL and military K9 handler. Chesney will share the story of his partnership with Cairo\, the Belgian Malinois who took part in the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound. But their bond didn’t end on the battlefield. When Chesney was seriously injured by a grenade blast in 2012\, it was Cairo’s presence during his long road to recovery that helped him survive emotionally and physically. As he puts it: “Cairo saved my life more than once-overseas and back home.” \nDon’t miss this rare chance to hear directly from a SEAL Team Operator about service\, sacrifice\, and the four-legged partner who changed his life. Chesney’s talks are raw\, heartfelt\, and unforgettable\, reminding us that sometimes the best teammate doesn’t speak a word-but shows up for you every single time. \nWill Chesney is author of No Ordinary Dog: My Partner from the SEAL Teams to the Bin Laden Raid\, a book that will be available for purchase in the Nixon Library’s museum store. \nAfter the keynote\, tour the Nixon Library’s special exhibit America 250: A More Perfect Union and continue to explore the resilient American spirit through vivid displays\, rare historic artifacts\, and engaging interactive experiences. Exhibit admission is included with the event ticket. \nThe Richard Nixon Foundation is grateful for the partnership with Yorba Linda Country Club that has made this event possible. \nChildren 12 and under are free to attend this event\, but must register.

SUMMARY:Meet Jean Becker and Tom Collamore
DESCRIPTION:Allowing us to witness presidential history and politics from a new angle\, Don’t Tell the President brings together the hilarious chaos of Veep and the grandeur of The West Wing. It is a memorable and at times laugh-out loud funny look at how many presidential events happen—and how many almost went awry. \nDon’t Tell the President is a collection of the greatest tales of triumph and near-crisis in presidential advance. Behind every seamless campaign appearance and presidential affair lies the meticulous work of event planners and advance teams—the little-known professionals who transform political logistics into carefully choreographed performances. Here are illuminating first-hand accounts from dedicated employees who worked for every modern-day president from Lyndon Johnson to Barack Obama\, a few First Ladies\, a few vice presidents\, and a few wannabes. \nJean Becker served as chief of staff for President George H.W. Bush for nearly twenty-five years. She’s the editor of Pearls of Wisdom by Barbara Bush; author of the New York Times bestseller\, The Man I Knew: The Amazing Story of George H.W. Bush’s Post Presidency; and Character Matter … And Other Life Lessons from George H.W. Bush.  \nTom Collamore first met President George H.W. Bush in 1978 as his driver and became part of his inner circle of staffers. Tom served in various roles throughout the twelve years of President Ronal Reagan and George H.W. Bush’s administrations and has been an advisor to the George and Barbara Bush Foundation for over thirty years.

SUMMARY:2026 Grand Strategy Summit
DESCRIPTION:The Grand Strategy Summit is the Richard Nixon Foundation’s flagship policy conference in Washington\, DC\, focused on promoting Richard Nixon’s long-term approach to foreign policy. \nAs the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary year\, the Richard Nixon Foundation’s 2026 Grand Strategy Summit will convene leaders in government\, diplomacy\, business\, and national security from around the world to examine the domestic and foreign policy decisions shaping America today — and the America of tomorrow. \nThe Summit will take place on September 30 and October 1\, 2026\, at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington\, D.C. It will focus on key dimensions of great power competition\, including diplomacy\, economics\, energy\, and artificial intelligence\, with discussions centered on America’s strategic position of dominance in each domain. \nInspired by Richard Nixon’s tenth and final book\, Beyond Peace\, the Summit builds on his vision for America’s long-term role in global leadership after the Cold War.

SUMMARY:Meet Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders
DESCRIPTION:Author of Unapologetic: Clarity and Conviction in a World Gone Crazy \nFrom Arkansas Governor and New York Times bestselling author Sarah Huckabee Sanders\, a candid\, no-nonsense account of fighting for conservative values\, taking on the status quo\, and laying out her bold vision for the future. \nIn Unapologetic: Clarity and Conviction in a World Gone Crazy\, Sarah Huckabee Sanders delivers a powerful\, unfiltered account of her journey from the high-octane pressure of the White House to becoming the first woman elected Governor of Arkansas. She traces her historic campaign\, pulling back the curtain on the defining moments of her life—including a personal battle with cancer that unfolded just sixty days before her historic election—and the faith that sustains her. \nAfter serving as Press Secretary in the first Trump Administration\, Sanders returned to her native Arkansas with her family and a bold vision for change. As she ran for office for the first time\, she spoke directly to the issues that matter most to everyday Arkansans: education\, lower taxes\, jobs\, and public safety. Her approach is simple: name the problem\, find the solution\, take action. \nSanders believes leadership is not about maintaining the status quo\, but about having the courage to fight for the next generation. Unapologetic is a compelling testament about what it means to lead with conviction and live by enduring values in a fallen world.
