January 9th marked RN’s 105th birthday
The occasion was celebrated at the presidential library in Yorba Linda with a formal wreath laying ceremony, official military honors and the Annual Nixon Legacy Lecture delivered by Nixon White House Deputy Special Assistant Bruce Herschensohn.
Admission to the Library and Museum was free to the public all day.

- Three hundred gathered in the Library’s Theater 37 for the formal ceremony.
- Navy Captain Paul Dale, Commanding Officer at NAWS China Lake, represented President Trump at the wreath laying ceremon
- Navy Rear Admiral CJ Jaynes (ret.) laid the wreath honoring President Nixon and spoke about RN’s Navy career during WWII.
- The 1st Marine Division Honor Guard presented the colors as the Navy Band Southwest played The National Anthem.
- Navy Band Southwest performed The National Anthem, God Bless America, Battle Hymn of the Republic and the Armed Forces Medley.
- RN Deputy Special Assistant, Bruce Herschensohn, delivered the Annual Nixon Legacy Lecture, which will air on CSPAN’s American History TV.
