White House Historical Association will reveal Ornament on Presidents’ Day
The White House Historical Association and the Richard Nixon Foundation will unveil the Official 2022 White House Christmas Ornament at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, California on Presidents’ Day, February 21, 2022.
Stewart McLaurin, President of the White House Historical Association and Jim Byron, President of the Richard Nixon Foundation will reveal the Official 2022 White House Christmas Ornament design during a special event in the Nixon Library’s replica of the White House East Room at 11:00 AM PST. The in-person program is open to the public and will stream online on YouTube and Facebook.
Admission to the Nixon Library is half-priced all day in celebration of Presidents’ Day. The first 500 guests will receive a free cherry pie shooter compliments of Polly’s Pies.
This special event marks the first time an official White House Christmas Ornament has been unveiled on the West Coast and kicks off a year-long partnership that will illuminate the Nixons’ White House legacy through educational programming and onsite events. For the last 40 years, the ornament has been an annual tradition of celebrating White House history and supporting the White House Historical Association’s mission dedicated to preserving our collective history and discovering untold stories.
The Nixon Library Gift Shop in Yorba Linda and the White House History Shop in Washington, D.C., and online store at shop.whitehousehistory.org will begin selling the Official 2022 White House Christmas Ornament on Presidents’ Day. Each ornament comes in a collectible box and includes a history booklet highlighting the contributions of President and Mrs. Nixon to White House history.
Since 1981, the White House Historical Association has designed and manufactured the Official White House Christmas Ornament. Collecting and giving these unique ornaments has become a holiday tradition for millions of Americans. The Official White House Christmas Ornament is traditionally hung in the White House.
