This week the Richard Nixon Foundation hosted a celebration of the accomplishments of Asian-Americans in Southern California as a kick-off of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.

Reflecting on the advancement of Asian-Americans over the last 50 years in American life, guests were invited to openly share their personal and professional experiences in a roundtable discussion.

Participants included businessman Frank Jao, U.S Representative Young Kim, Dr. Edward Kim, physician-in-chief at City of Hope Orange County, Nixon Foundation Board Member and businessman Charlie Zhang and other prominent community leaders. This public forum led to an open discussion of challenges while highlighting the contributions of the APPI community in Orange County and across the nation.
