Renowned economist, actor and political commentator Ben Stein spoke in the East Room at the Nixon Library to recount President Nixon’s decisive leadership during the Yom Kippur War of 1973. 

Mr. Stein was a White House speechwriter from 1973-74 and the author of The Peacemaker: Nixon: The Man, President, and My Friend. His remarks were full of gratitude for the 37th President and the example he set by being a strong ally to Israel.
