Walt Disney cast members, executives, ambassadors and legends gathered in the East Room on Sunday to honor another legend, Jack Lindquist, former President of Disneyland and author of a new memoir about his 40 years working at Walt Disney Co., In Service to the Mouse.
Nixon Foundation President Sandy Quinn – who headed marketing at Walt Disney World for several years including opening – was the master of ceremonies. Marty Sklar, former Ambassador of Imagineering, Matt Ouimet and George Kalogridis, former and current Presidents of Disneyland Resort, gave remarks in tribute to the “Mayor of Disneyland.” Co-author Melinda J. Combs discussed her years of collaboration with Lindquist on his memoirs.
